The story

I Am Anime!

Have you ever seen a picture with big, sparkly eyes that shine like stars?. Or hair that is bright pink, blue, or green like a rainbow?. My world is full of amazing adventures, with magical friends and powerful heroes. The pictures move and tell wonderful stories. Do you know who I am?. I am Anime!. I am a special way of telling stories with drawings that come to life. I am full of bright, happy colors and lots of fun.

I was born in a beautiful country far, far away called Japan. It was a very long time ago, around the year 1917. Artists with clever hands drew many, many pictures of the same character, each one a little different. When they showed the pictures very fast, it looked like magic!. The characters would run and jump and dance. As I grew up, more people wanted to see my stories. In the 1960s, a very kind artist named Osamu Tezuka helped me get on television. Families could sit together and watch my colorful adventures with exciting music and fun sounds.

Soon, my stories traveled on big boats and airplanes across the wide ocean. Children all over the world could watch me. They loved my stories about being a good friend and being brave when things are tricky. I show kids everywhere that they can be heroes, too. Now, you can find me everywhere. I hope I make you want to grab your crayons and draw your very own characters. You can create a magical world all your own. Anyone can be part of my big, wonderful adventure.
