Just want Koh-i-Noor Diamond?
It was very dark and quiet deep, deep down in the earth. I was sleeping, like a little piece of light waiting for the sun. One day, a long, long time ago, even before the 14th century, someone found me in a warm, sunny land called India. When they brought me into the sunshine, I blinked and sparkled for the very first time. I am a diamond, but a very special one. My name is Koh-i-Noor, which means Mountain of Light. I love to shine so brightly.
My first home was in India, where kings and queens loved my sparkle. They held me gently and showed me to everyone. Then, I went on a big adventure across the big blue ocean. I sailed on a ship to a new country called England. It was a long trip. I arrived on a sunny day, June 29th, 1850. When I got there, I met a very important queen named Victoria. She was so happy to see me shine and sparkle just for her. It made me feel very special and bright.
To make me sparkle even more, some very careful hands gave me a new shape in 1852. They gave me lots of little flat sides that look like tiny windows. Now I catch the light and make beautiful rainbows everywhere. Today, I live in a big city called London. I sit right at the very front of a beautiful, shiny crown that was made for another special queen in 1937. I remind everyone of the beautiful treasures from the earth and how a little light can travel all over the world and still shine brightly for you to see.
