Just want The Chronicles of Narnia?
I am a secret. A secret doorway. When you open me, you can feel the whoosh of magic. I am not just paper with words. I am a whole world. Inside my pages, you might feel a cold snowflake land on your nose. You might hear the rustle of talking trees whispering secrets. You can feel the warmth of a big, kind lion’s breath. I hold a land that is sometimes covered in snow and sometimes bright with sunshine. I am a book full of adventures. I am The Chronicles of Narnia.
A very kind man with a big, wonderful imagination dreamed me up. His name was C.S. Lewis. He loved stories about magic, brave children, and amazing adventures. One day, on October 16th, 1950, he started writing my very first story. He wrote and wrote because he had so many ideas. He made not just one book, but seven books all about my magical world. He finished the last one in the year 1956. He filled my pages with brave children who become kings and queens. He also filled me with friendly talking animals and a great, wise lion named Aslan. Aslan is the king of my special land.
For a long, long time, children just like you have found their way into my world. The secret way to get there is by stepping through a big, old wooden wardrobe. When they step inside, they find themselves in a snowy forest, which is the start of a great adventure. The children learn how to be very brave and very kind. Even today, you can open my pages and visit the magical land of Narnia anytime you want. I am always here to show you that adventure is waiting for you. It's waiting in the pages of a book and inside your own amazing imagination.
