Hello, my name is Leonardo. I live in a sunny city called Florence. It has tall, pointy towers that reach for the sky and busy streets where everyone smiles. My favorite place is my workshop. It is a little messy but full of wonderful things. I love to take my paintbrush and dip it in bright red, sunny yellow, and sky blue paint. Swish, swoosh, I paint beautiful pictures. I also love to build things. I take pieces of wood and bits of cloth to make amazing new inventions. It is so much fun to think of an idea and make it real with my own two hands. I am always dreaming and creating in my workshop.
One day, I painted a picture of a very kind lady. She had a gentle, secret smile. I wondered what she was thinking about to make her smile like that. It made me happy to paint her. I also have a special notebook filled with my drawings. My biggest dream is to fly. I watch the birds flap their big wings and soar through the air. So, in my book, I drew a machine with giant wings, just like a bird. I imagined myself sitting inside, flying high above the tall towers of Florence. Wouldn't that be a fun adventure? Trying new things is the best game ever.
It was not just me who loved to make new things. All around me, my friends were busy, too. Some made big, strong statues from stone. Others built tall, beautiful buildings that almost touched the clouds. It was a happy time, like a big springtime for our city. We called it a 'rebirth' because so many new and wonderful ideas were blooming everywhere, just like flowers. Everyone has a special way to create something beautiful, and you can, too.
