Just want Children's Day - Brazilian?
Hello! I am a very special day that happens in the big, sunny country of Brazil. My name there is Dia das Crianças, which means Children’s Day. I am a celebration created just for kids, to show them how much they matter. Every year, when the calendar shows October 12th, it is my time to shine. On this day, families all across Brazil take time to show their children how important and deeply loved they are. It is a day full of smiles and warmth.
One of the most exciting traditions during my celebration is the giving of presents. For many children, it is a happy surprise to wake up to! Families give their children new toys to play with, like a bright red ball or a soft, cuddly teddy bear. Sometimes the gift is a wonderful new book filled with colorful pictures and fun stories to read together. Other times, children might receive brand new clothes that make them feel special. These gifts are a lovely way to start a day of fun.
Because I am an important holiday, children get a day off from school, and many grown-ups have a day off from work, too. This means my day is perfect for families to have fun together and make happy memories. They might spend the afternoon at a beautiful park, running and laughing under the sun. Some families go out to eat a special meal at a favorite restaurant. Or they might all go to the movie theater to watch a new film. My whole purpose is to bring families closer and fill their day with joy.
