The story

The Whirly, Twirly Blender

Hello. I am a blender. I live in the kitchen and I love to help. I go whirr, whirr, whirr and spin things all around. I make yummy smoothies with sweet strawberries and yellow bananas. It is my favorite thing to do. Before I was here, mixing was very hard work. People used a spoon to stir and stir and stir. Their arms would get so tired. But one day, a very clever man named Stephen had a delicious idea. He wanted to make mixing fast and fun, and that is how I was born.

My friend, Stephen Poplawski, made me a long, long time ago in the year 1922. He had a wonderful dream to make the best milkshakes ever. So, he built me with a special cup and a little spinning blade at the bottom. When I turned on, my blade would go vroom. It spun around so fast, mixing the milk and ice cream until it was all frothy and yummy. The milkshakes were the best. At first, I only worked in soda shops, making creamy drinks for everyone to enjoy. But soon, I got to go home with families. I started helping in kitchens everywhere. I mixed healthy smoothies for breakfast and warm soups for dinner. I am so happy when I get to whir and whirl my little blade. It makes me feel proud to help make tasty food for you and your family.
