The story

The Car That Put the World on Wheels

Hello there. My name is the Model T, and I am a very special car. Before I came along, most families used horses and buggies to get around. Clip-clop, clip-clop. It was very slow. Other cars were like big, expensive toys for grown-ups. But my maker, a clever man named Henry Ford, had a big dream. He wanted to make a car that almost everyone could have. He wanted to build me so that families could go on adventures together.

My birthday was a very happy day. I was born on October 1st, 1908. I was so shiny and new. I was made in a special way called an assembly line. It was like a team of helpers working together in a row. One person would put on my bouncy wheels. Another person would add my steering wheel so I could turn left and right. Then someone else put in my comfy seats. Because everyone worked together as a team, I was made very quickly. This helped keep me from being too expensive, so more families could take me home. And here's a funny thing, for a while, you could get me in any color you wanted, as long as it was black.

I loved helping families go on adventures. Vroom, vroom. We would drive down bumpy country roads to have picnics in sunny fields. We traveled to visit grandparents who lived in other towns, which made everyone so happy. I helped people connect and see new places they had only dreamed of seeing. I was the car that put the world on wheels. All the cars, trucks, and buses you see on the road today are part of the big family I helped start. We are all ready to take you on new adventures.
