Just want Instant Noodles?
Hello there. I am Instant Noodles. I am a yummy, warm meal that fills your tummy. My story started a long time ago in a place called Japan. A kind man named Momofuku Ando saw that many people were hungry after a big, sad war. He wanted to make them happy. He wanted to give them something warm and delicious to eat very, very quickly. He thought and thought about how he could help everyone feel better with a good meal.
Mr. Ando worked in his little shed. It was the year 1958. He worked very hard every day. He wanted to make noodles that could last a long, long time on a shelf. He also wanted them to be super easy to make. One day, he watched his wife making a crunchy food called tempura. She put it in hot oil, and poof. It became crispy and dry. That gave him a brilliant idea. He thought, 'I can do that with my noodles.' He fried the noodles so they would stay fresh for a long time. It was the perfect way to make me.
My birthday was on August 25th, 1958. That was the first day I was sold in a store. I felt so excited. Making me is so simple. A grown-up just needs to add hot water, and in a few minutes, I am ready to eat. Swirly, warm, and yummy. Now, I travel all over the world in my little cup or package. I go to big cities and small towns. I am here to give everyone, everywhere, a quick and comforting meal that makes them smile. It makes me happy to warm up so many tummies.
