Just want Bawang Merah and Bawang Putih - Indonesian?
Once upon a time, in a sunny little village, lived a kind girl named Bawang Putih. Her house was warm and happy, and a little river nearby sang a sweet song. Bawang Putih lived with her stepmother and stepsister, Bawang Merah. From morning until night, Bawang Putih would help around the house. She would sweep, sweep, sweep the floor and wash, wash, wash the clothes, always with a happy heart. This is the story of Bawang Merah and Bawang Putih.
One bright morning, Bawang Putih was at the river. Splash, splash, splash! She was washing clothes when, oh no! Her stepmother’s favorite scarf floated away. Down the river it went, swish, swish, swish. Bawang Putih felt very sad and walked along the river to find it. Soon, she met a kind old woman holding the lost scarf. The woman saw how polite Bawang Putih was and showed her two pumpkins. One pumpkin was big, big, big. The other pumpkin was small, small, small. Bawang Putih chose the little one. When she got home, she opened it. Wow! Bright, sparkling jewels tumbled out. It was a beautiful treasure!
Bawang Merah saw the shiny jewels and wanted some too. She was not kind. She rushed to the river, threw a scarf in, and found the old woman. "Give me the biggest pumpkin!" she said. The old woman gave her the big, big pumpkin. But when Bawang Merah and her mother opened it, out came silly, wiggly snakes! They were so surprised they ran away. Soon, a good prince heard about the kind girl with the magical treasure. He came to the village and he and Bawang Putih became the very best of friends. The story shows that being kind is the best treasure of all, a treasure that shines brighter than any jewel.
