The story

Beauty and the Beast

Once, there was a kind girl named Belle who lived in a little house with her father. One day, her father went on a long trip. Belle asked him, "Please bring me back one pretty red rose.". On his way home, her father got lost in a dark forest and found a big, tall castle. This is the story of Beauty and the Beast. In the castle garden, he saw the most beautiful red rose and picked it for Belle. But then, a big, furry Beast jumped out! He had a loud roar. The Beast was sad his flower was taken. To save her father, brave Belle promised to go live in the castle with the Beast.

At first, the big castle was a little scary. The Beast looked so grumpy and roared so loud. But soon Belle found out the castle was full of magic and fun friends. A little teapot could talk and sing songs. A tiny teacup could dance on the table. A candlestick loved to tell silly jokes. They all became Belle's friends. The Beast was not mean at all, he was just very lonely. He showed Belle a giant room full of books, and they read stories together every day. They played in the garden and ate yummy food in a big, sparkly room. Belle learned that under his fur, the Beast had a kind and gentle heart.

One day, Belle missed her father very much and wanted to go home. The Beast was so sad to see her go, but he let her because he loved her. When Belle came back to the castle, she found the Beast was very quiet and sad. He missed his friend so much. Belle knew then that she loved him, too. She loved him for his kind heart, not for how he looked. She gave him a kiss, and a bright, sparkly light filled the room! The magic spell was broken. The Beast was a handsome prince again. They lived happily ever after, showing everyone that true beauty is what is on the inside.
