The story

The Myth of Mr. Kotsky

In a big, green forest, a clever little cat with soft gray fur walked on his tired paws. The trees were tall and whispered secrets to the wind. This is the story of a cat named Mr. Kotsky, who used his smart mind to find a new home. The tale is called the myth of Mr. Kotsky, and it shows how a small cat can be very brave.

One sunny day, Mr. Kotsky met a friendly Fox with a big, bushy tail. The little cat wanted to look brave, so he puffed up his chest. He let out a big, deep meow. He told the Fox he was the new boss of the forest. The Fox was so surprised. She ran to tell everyone. A big Bear, a gray Wolf, and a grumpy Boar heard the news. They were very nervous. Who was this fierce Mr. Kotsky? They decided to make him a big, yummy picnic to be his friend. What a silly idea.

The animals were too scared to meet the little cat, so they hid behind some big, green bushes to watch. Mr. Kotsky saw the yummy food. He saw berries and nuts and honey. He was so happy that he shouted, “Meow!”. The hiding animals heard his meow. They thought he roared for “More!”. Then, the happy cat started to eat and purr. His purr was a loud, rumbly purr. The animals thought he was growling. Suddenly, a little leaf rustled. Mr. Kotsky pounced on it, thinking it was a mouse. The big Bear, Wolf, and Boar were so scared they ran away as fast as they could. They never came back. Mr. Kotsky showed that being clever is much more important than being big.
