Just want Vitória-Régia - Brazilian?
There was a little girl named Naiá. She lived near a big, big river in a green forest. Every night, Naiá would look up, up, up at the sky. She saw the big, silvery moon, whose name was Jaci. Naiá loved the moon very much and wished she could give it a hug. She heard a story about a special flower called the Vitória-Régia, and soon, that would be her story too.
One night, the moon was so bright and shiny. It looked like a giant pearl in the dark sky. Naiá saw the moon’s picture smiling back at her from the calm river water. It looked so close. The pretty light danced on the water. Naiá walked to the edge of the river. Her heart went thump, thump, thump. She reached out her hands to touch the beautiful, glowing moon in the water.
Jaci, the moon, saw how much Naiá loved him. He wanted to give her a special gift. The moon didn't turn her into a star in the sky, but into something even more special. Poof. He turned Naiá into a beautiful flower right there on the water. She became the Vitória-Régia, a giant water lily. Now, her big, round leaves float like green plates, and her white flower opens every night to say hello to the moon. She is a star on the water.
