A Journey to Space with CNSA

Hello! We are the China National Space Administration. That’s a long name, so you can call us CNSA. We are a team from a country called China. Our job is to explore space. Do you know what space is? It’s the big, dark sky high above the clouds, full of stars, planets, and the Moon. Our job is to send rockets and explorers to the sky and beyond to learn all about it.

To go to space, we need something very powerful. We use big, tall rockets! Our rockets blast off from the ground and go “whoosh” high into the sky. They fly up, up, up, past the clouds and into space. It is a very exciting ride for everything we send.

We use our rockets to send people to space. People who go to space are called astronauts. We sent the very first Chinese astronaut into orbit. His name was Yang Liwei. Orbit is when you go all the way around the Earth, like a ball on a string. He floated in his spaceship and looked down at our beautiful world.

We don’t just send people. We also send special robot explorers. We have little robots called rovers. They look like little cars with wheels. Our rovers have traveled to the Moon and to a planet called Mars. They drive around on the dirt and rocks, taking pictures and helping us see what these far-away places are really like.

Right now, we are working on a very special project. We are building a home in space! It is a space station called Tiangong. It floats high above the Earth. Astronauts can live and work inside our space station. They eat, sleep, and do important jobs there. From their windows, they can see our whole world. We are always learning new things about our universe.
