The story

Helpers with a Red Cross and Red Crescent

Hello! We are the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. That’s a long name, but our job is very simple: we help people. We help people all over the world. We have special signs so you know who we are. One of our signs is a red cross. Another one is a red crescent. When you see these signs, you know that our helpers are there to care for everyone.

We help in many ways. If someone is sick or hurt, we are there to help them feel better. Sometimes, big problems happen, like a flood with too much water, or people fighting with each other. During these hard times, we bring things that people need to stay safe. We bring medicine, healthy food to eat, and clean water to drink. Our work helps keep people safe and healthy when they need it most.

Our helpers are called volunteers. They are kind people who work together as a team. Our team of volunteers is very big! We have helpers in almost every country in the world. It doesn't matter who you are or where you are from. If you need help, we will be there to care for you. Our red cross and red crescent signs are a promise that someone is there to help.
