The story

Our Work in Space

Hello! We are the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre. Our home is in a country called the United Arab Emirates. Our job is to explore space. We love learning about what is high above the clouds. To do this, we build special tools and help people travel far away from Earth.

One of our biggest jobs is building satellites. Satellites are like special cameras that we send up into the sky. They fly very high above our world, circling the planet again and again. These satellites are like our eyes in the sky, and they help us learn so much. They take pictures that show us what the weather will be like. Their pictures also let us see how our towns and cities grow over time.

We also help brave people become astronauts! We train them for special trips called missions. Some of our astronauts, like Hazzaa AlMansoori and Sultan AlNeyadi, have visited the International Space Station. This is a giant laboratory that floats in space and orbits the Earth. There, our astronauts do important science experiments. What they learn in space can help all of us back on our planet.

Today, we are still very busy exploring. We keep building satellites to watch over our world and help everyone. We also get new astronauts ready for their amazing journeys into space. Our work helps us understand more about our home and the incredible universe around us.
