Sesame Workshop

Hello! We are Sesame Workshop. We are a group that helps children learn and grow. A long time ago, we had an idea to create a special television show just for kids like you. We called our show Sesame Street. Our main goal was to make learning exciting and fun for everyone. We wanted to bring lessons about letters, numbers, and friendship right into your home through the television.

To help us teach, we created very special friends called Muppets. You may already know some of them! Our tall, yellow friend is Big Bird. He is always happy to help you learn the letters of the alphabet. We also have a small, furry red friend named Elmo. Elmo loves to talk about feelings and show everyone how to be a good friend. And who can forget Cookie Monster? He is a fuzzy blue friend who loves to count things, especially delicious cookies, before he eats them all up! Our Muppet friends sing happy songs and play fun games to help you learn all kinds of new things.

Our work continues today, and we do more than just make our television show. We create wonderful things for children in many different countries all around the world. We make colorful books with exciting stories, fun games to play, and lots of videos to watch. No matter what we are making, our goal is always the same. We want to help children everywhere grow up smarter, so they can learn about the world. We want to help them grow up stronger, so they are healthy. And we want to help them grow up kinder, so they are good friends to others.
