Just want The Jane Goodall Institute?
Hello! We are The Jane Goodall Institute. A kind scientist named Jane Goodall started us a long time ago. She knew that our world is special and needs helpers. Our big job is to help animals, people, and the beautiful Earth we all share. We work together as a team to make sure everything can grow strong and healthy. It is important to be kind to all living things, and that is what we try to do every single day.
One of our most important jobs is helping our friends, the chimpanzees. We go to the forest where they live. Their home has tall trees to climb and yummy fruit to eat. We watch the chimpanzees very carefully to learn all about them. We see how they play with their families and how they find food. We work hard to keep their forest homes safe from harm. When their homes are safe and healthy, the chimpanzees can be happy and healthy, too.
We also love to help kids, just like you! We started special groups called Roots & Shoots. In these groups, kids learn how to be helpers for our planet. They learn how to take care of animals, plants, and people in their own neighborhoods. Kids in Roots & Shoots work on fun projects that make a big difference for everyone. We believe that when people big and small work together, we can make the world a better, kinder place for all living things.
