Taking Care of Special Places with The National Trust

Hello! We are The National Trust. We are a special group called a charity. Our job is to take care of wonderful places for everyone to enjoy, forever and ever. We want to make sure these places are always here for you, your family, and all the children who come after you. We look after beautiful and important spots all across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. We are protectors of history and nature.

We care for so many different kinds of places. Some of our places are big, old houses where people lived a long, long time ago. We also look after tall, strong castles with high walls. You can imagine the stories they hold! We take care of pretty gardens filled with colorful flowers and buzzing bees. We also have large, green parks with big, shady trees that are perfect for playing under. We even protect parts of the seashore, so you can enjoy the sand and the waves.

All of these places are open for you to visit! You can come with your family for a fun day out. There is so much to do and see. You can explore the old houses and castles and learn about the past. You can run and play in the big, open fields. When you get hungry, you can find a lovely spot in one of our gardens for a picnic. Our places are for playing, learning, and making happy memories.

We work very hard to keep our parks, houses, and seashores safe and beautiful. By protecting these spots, we make sure that nature and history can be enjoyed by everyone. We are The National Trust, and our job is to care for these special places today, tomorrow, and always.
