Just want The Ocean Cleanup?
Hello! We are The Ocean Cleanup. Our planet has big, beautiful oceans where lots of amazing animals live. But we saw a problem. We saw that lots of plastic trash was floating in the water. Things like plastic bottles and bags don't belong there. This is not good for the fish that swim or the turtles that play. The plastic can make the water dirty and harm the animals. We knew we needed to help make our oceans clean and safe again.
To help clean the water, we build special tools. We made big cleaning machines that float on top of the ocean. They look like big, long arms that stretch out in the water. As the ocean moves, these big arms catch the floating plastic trash. They gather all the plastic in one place, like you might gather your toys. When our machines have collected a lot of trash, we can take it all out of the water. We then recycle the plastic so it can be used to make new things.
We don't just work in the big oceans. We also have machines that clean rivers. Why do we clean rivers, too? Because a lot of plastic trash falls into rivers first. The rivers then carry the plastic all the way to the ocean. Our river machines stop the plastic before it can even get there. Our job is to make the world's oceans and rivers clean again. We want all the animals to have a happy home, and we want people to have clean water to enjoy.
