Tropical Rainforest

Drip, drop, drip. Water trickles down my leaves. Buzz, buzz, buzz. Tiny insects fly all around. Chirp, chirp, tweet. Colorful birds sing their happy songs from my branches. My trees are like tall green towers that reach for the sun. It is warm here, and everything is growing. I am full of bright flowers and wiggly vines. I am a home for so many living things. Can you guess who I am. I am a Tropical Rainforest, and I am so happy to meet you. I have so many secrets and songs to share with you, right here in my warm, green world.

I am very, very old. I have been growing and growing for millions of years, long before there were any people. I am not alone. I have a big, busy family living with me. Bright blue butterflies flutter past my flowers, like little flying jewels. Slow, sleepy sloths hang from my branches, smiling as they munch on leaves. Loud parrots with feathers like rainbows squawk hello to each other from the treetops. And hiding quietly among my leaves are spotty jaguars, watching everything with their big, gentle eyes. I am a home for more animals, bugs, and plants than you can count. My family is the biggest in the whole world, and we all live together here.

I have a very important job. I help make the air fresh and clean for everyone in the world to breathe. You can think of me as a big green lung for our planet. For thousands of years, people have lived here with my family, too. They learned my secrets and listened to my songs. I am a special treasure, full of life and beautiful colors and sounds. When you help take care of me, you help take care of the whole world. I will always be here to share my green leaves, my animal songs, and my fresh, clean air with you. I am happy to be your friend.
