Hello, I'm Happiness
Hi there! My name is Happiness. You’ve probably felt me before, maybe without even knowing my name. I’m that warm, bubbly feeling you get when you laugh so hard your stomach hurts, or the quiet sense of pride after you’ve finished a difficult school project. I am the feeling of belonging when you’re with your best friends, sharing secrets and inside jokes. I’m not just one thing. I show up in big moments, like on your birthday when you're surrounded by family and friends, and in small, everyday moments, like seeing a puppy playfully chase its tail or hearing your favorite song come on the radio. I am the experience of joy, contentment, and well-being. My purpose is to help you notice all the good things in your life, both big and small, and to remind you of the light that exists in the world.
Sometimes people think I only appear during huge celebrations or major achievements, but that’s not true at all. You can find me in the satisfying feeling of accomplishment after you finally master a new skill in a video game you've been practicing for weeks, or when you score a goal in soccer after a great team play. I’m also there in the quiet moments of your day, like when you’re curled up with a good book and get completely lost in the story, forgetting everything else around you. I often show up when you’re being kind to someone else—that good feeling you get from helping a friend with their homework is me visiting you. It’s important to know that it's perfectly okay if you don't feel me all the time. Other emotions, like Sadness or Anger, are important too, and their presence doesn't mean I'm gone forever. In fact, sometimes understanding those feelings can help you appreciate me even more when I return. I continue to help people today by reminding them to look for moments of connection, gratitude, and fun. I am a sign that you are growing, connecting, and finding your place in the world.
As I continue my journey with you, I am always learning that my truest form is found not just in receiving, but in giving and connecting. My story matters because it serves as a reminder that I am not a destination to be reached, but a path you walk every day. I am present in your courage, your kindness, and your curiosity. Learning to notice me in small moments can make a big difference in how you see the world.
