The story

I Am Peer Pressure

Hi there. My name is Peer Pressure. I'm that little nudge you feel when your friends are all doing something and you feel like you should too. Sometimes it’s for something fun, like trying a new game. Other times, I can make you feel wobbly inside, especially if you think what they're doing isn't right. I show up when you have to decide whether to follow the group or listen to your own heart.

I remember a boy named Leo. His friends wanted to whisper and giggle while the teacher was talking. I made Leo feel like he had to join in to be part of the group. But then, Leo listened to his own 'brave voice' inside. He knew it was important to be respectful. He decided to smile at his friends but keep listening to the teacher. He learned that he could still be a good friend while making a choice that felt right for him. I saw how listening to his own feelings helped him grow a little bit taller on the inside.
