I Ask for Help

Sometimes, my hands are too little to open a big jar of yummy jam. Or maybe my toy is stuck way up high on a shelf. When something is too tricky for me to do all by myself, I know it is a good time to ask for help. Asking for help is a super smart and brave thing for me to do.

First, I find a grown-up I trust, like my teacher or my dad. I walk over to them. Then, I say their name and use my big voice, 'Can you help me, please?' I can point to the tricky thing, like the zipper on my coat that is stuck. When they help me, my coat is zipped and I feel warm! I always remember to say, 'Thank you!'

Asking for help matters because it helps me solve problems and stay safe. When I ask a grown-up for help, I can do things that were too tricky for me before. It also shows them that I trust them. Knowing how to ask for help is an important way for me to learn and grow every single day.
