Keeping My Clothes Clean
Having clean clothes means wearing things that smell fresh and feel good on my skin. When I look at my clothes, they don't have food spills or dirt marks. It's like giving my clothes a bath so they are ready for me to wear for a new day of playing and learning.
When I take my clothes off at the end of the day, I check if they are dirty. If I see a spot or they don't smell fresh, I don't leave them on the floor. I walk over to my laundry basket and put them inside so they are all in one place. A grown-up helps me take the basket to the washing machine, where soap and water work together to wash all the dirt and germs away. After they are dry and warm, I help fold them and put them away in my drawers so I can find them easily tomorrow.
Wearing clean clothes helps me feel comfortable and ready for school. It’s also important for my body because it washes away germs that can make me feel sick. When my clothes are clean, I feel proud that I am taking care of myself. It's a simple way to help my body stay healthy and feel good every single day.
