Learning to Follow Directions
Following directions is when I listen to what a grown-up asks me to do, and then I do it. When my dad says, 'Please put on your coat,' I find my coat and put my arms in. Now I'm ready to go outside and play!
When my teacher says it's time to clean up, I know just what to do. First, I stop what I'm doing and look at my teacher. I use my listening ears to hear her words. If she says, 'Put the crayons in the box,' my hands pick up the crayons and put them right where they go. This helps our room stay tidy so we can find our toys tomorrow.
