Learning How to Jump

Jumping is when I push with my feet to lift my body up into the air. It feels bouncy and fun, like a little surprise for my body! Doing it helps make my legs super strong so I can run and play all day.

First, I find a safe spot, like on the grass or a soft carpet. I bend my knees and get small like a frog. I swing my arms back, and then swing them up high as I push off the ground with my strong feet. Whee, I am in the air! When I come down, I land with my knees a little bent to be soft and quiet.

Jumping is important because it is a fun way to move my body. It makes my legs strong for all the things I love to do, like running at the park and playing games. Moving my body helps me stay healthy and happy.
