A Fun Way to Move Your Body

Jumping is when I use my strong leg muscles to push off the ground and fly into the air for a moment. It’s a super fun way for me to move my body and play. When I have lots of happy, wiggly energy, jumping helps me let it all out.

To be a great jumper, I first find a safe spot with nothing to bump into. I stand with my feet a little apart. I bend my knees like I’m about to sit down. I swing my arms back, and then I swing them forward as I push off the floor with my feet. Whoosh! When I come down, I make sure to land softly by bending my knees again. This protects my body.

Every time I jump, I am doing a special exercise that helps my bones and muscles grow stronger. It also makes my heart beat faster, which is great for keeping it healthy. If I ever feel a little grumpy or tired, I know that a few good jumps can wake up my body and make me smile.

Jumping is a simple way for me to stay active and healthy every day. I can jump over puddles, play hopscotch with friends, or jump rope at the park. It’s a powerful tool I can use anytime to have fun, get my energy out, and take care of my amazing body.
