Just want Golden Lion Tamarin?
Hello. I am a Golden Lion Tamarin. My fur is a bright, fiery orange color, like a little flame in the trees. Around my face, I have long, fluffy hair that looks just like a real lion’s mane. It makes me look very brave. But I am not a big lion. I am a very small monkey. I am only about the size of a squirrel, so I can fit in your hands.
My home is high up in the treetops of the big Brazilian rainforest. I live here with my whole family. My mom, dad, brothers, and sisters are always with me. We are a team, and we all work together to find food and stay safe. We love to play. We leap from branch to branch, flying through the green leaves. We are always looking for yummy things to eat. We search for sweet fruits to munch on and little wiggly insects to snack on. Sometimes, we find pretty flowers and drink their tasty nectar.
I have a very important job in my forest home. When I eat yummy fruit, I swallow the little seeds inside. Later on, when I poop, the seeds fall out and land on the ground in a new spot. From that tiny seed, a brand new tree can start to grow. By spreading seeds all over, I help new trees sprout up everywhere. Helping my forest grow big and strong is my special job, and it keeps my home beautiful and healthy for all the other animals, too.
