The story

Van the Swimming Cat

Hi there. My name is Van. I am a very special kind of kitty called a Turkish Van cat. Can you guess where I come from? That's right, a place called Turkey. I lived near a big, sparkly lake called Lake Van. It was so beautiful, with cool, clear water perfect for a sunny day.

I have a secret. I love to swim. Isn't that silly for a cat? Most of my kitty cousins do not like water, but I think it is the best. Splish, splash. I love to paddle my paws. My fur is super soft and white like a fluffy cloud, but it has a special trick—it dries really fast after I go for a swim. I also have pretty colors on my head and my long, feathery tail. People say it looks like I dipped my head and tail in paint.

When I am not swimming, my favorite thing to do is play and cuddle. I am very smart and love to chase toys and spend time with my family. We Turkish Van cats are known for being loving and loyal friends. We might be famous for swimming, but we are also really good at giving warm, purr-fect hugs. We are a special treasure from Turkey, here to share our love with the world.
