The story

Alexander the Great

Hello. My name is Alexander. I was born a long, long time ago, in the year 356. I was a young prince living in a place called Macedon. I had a very special friend. He was a big, strong horse, and his name was Bucephalus. He was a little wild and was even scared of his own shadow. Because he was so wild, no one else could ride him. But I was not scared. I gently showed him that his shadow was just a part of him. After that, he let me ride him, and we became the very best of friends, ready for any adventure.

When I grew up, I became a king. Starting around the year 334, my best friend Bucephalus and I led my people on a great journey. We traveled to faraway lands and saw amazing new places. We met many different people. I loved building new cities for people to live in. I even named one of the most famous ones Alexandria, after me. I wanted to create safe and beautiful homes for everyone.

I lived a very exciting life full of adventures, but my story ended in the year 323. I lived to be 32 years old. People today still remember me as Alexander the Great because I was a brave leader who explored the world. My story shows that you can be courageous and do great things, no matter how young you are.
