Just want Chanakya?
Hello! My name is Chanakya. I lived a very long time ago in a place called India. When I was a boy, I loved to learn. I grew up to be a teacher, and my favorite thing to do was read books and share big ideas with my students. I believed that with knowledge, we could help make the world a better and fairer place for everyone.
One day, I met a brave young man named Chandragupta. I saw that he was strong and kind, and I knew he would be a wonderful leader. I decided to help him. I shared all my best ideas with him about how to be a good and fair ruler. Together, we helped create a great and peaceful kingdom where everyone was safe and happy. It was called the Mauryan Empire, and Chandragupta became its first great king!
I wanted to make sure my ideas could help people long after I was gone. So, I wrote them all down in a special book called the Arthashastra. It was full of lessons about leadership and how to take care of people. I lived a very long and full life, always trying to learn and to help. Even today, people read my book to learn how to be wise and kind leaders, and that makes me very proud.

About
An ancient Indian teacher, philosopher, and royal advisor who was important in the creation of the Mauryan Empire and is traditionally thought to have written the political book called the Arthashastra. However, some experts today are not sure if he really wrote it. The book names its author as Kauṭilya, and one part calls him Vishnugupta. Some people think Chanakya, Kauṭilya, and Vishnugupta might be the same person, while others believe they are different people. The true authorship of the book is still being discussed.
