Just want Cicero?
Hello! My name is Marcus Tullius Cicero. I lived a very, very long time ago in a place called the Roman Republic. It was a bit like a country where the people helped choose their leaders. I was born in a small town called Arpinum on January 3rd, in the year 106 BCE. That was over two thousand years ago! Even when I was a little boy, I loved to learn more than anything. I would read every scroll I could get my hands on. Scrolls were like our books back then. I also practiced speaking all the time, making my voice strong and clear. I hoped that one day, my words could be used to help people and make our home a better place.
When I grew up, I became a lawyer. That meant I used my words to stand up for people who were treated unfairly in court. I worked hard to make sure everyone was heard. Because I was good at speaking and helping others, the people of Rome noticed me. In the year 63 BCE, they chose me for a very important job. I became one of their leaders, called a consul. Being a consul was like being a president for one year. During that year, I discovered a secret plan to harm Rome. It was a scary time, but I knew I had to be brave. I told everyone about the danger, and by working together, we saved our city from harm. After that, many people called me a hero and even gave me the special title, 'Father of the Country'.
Being a leader was only one part of my life. I was also a writer. I loved sharing my thoughts with others, so I wrote many speeches and books about my big ideas. I believed that every single person should have a voice in their government and that all laws should be fair for everyone, not just a few powerful people. In my books, I wrote about how important it is to be a good friend, to always be honest, and to work hard for your community. I wanted to write down all these important ideas so that people could read them and learn from them for many, many years to come.

My life had many challenges because not everyone agreed with my ideas about fairness and how the government should work. I lived to be 63 years old. Even though I am gone now, my words and ideas live on. People all over the world still read my books today to learn about life in ancient Rome and to think about how to build a better and fairer world for themselves. My ideas about good government even helped inspire the leaders who created countries like the United States. It makes me happy to know my words are still helping people today.
