The story

A Story from King Darius

Hello! My name is Darius, and a long, long time ago, I was the king of a very big and beautiful land called the Persian Empire. It was full of amazing cities, sunny deserts, and tall mountains. As the king, I wore a special crown and helped take care of all the people and animals in my kingdom.

Part of being a king is being brave and protecting your home. One day, another famous leader named Alexander the Great arrived with his big army. He wanted to be the ruler of my lands, too. I led my own brave soldiers to keep our kingdom safe, but it was a very big challenge for everyone.

My time as the king eventually came to an end, and the Persian Empire changed. I lived to be about 50 years old. Even though my rule was over, people still remember the great Persian Empire and its incredible history. My story is a small part of a very big story about a wonderful place that existed long ago.
