Just want Frank Lloyd Wright?
Hello! My name is Frank Lloyd Wright, and I was an architect, which is a person who designs buildings. I was born on June 8th, 1867, in the beautiful state of Wisconsin. Growing up on my family's farm, I loved the rolling hills, the tall trees, and the wide-open sky. My mother gave me a special set of wooden blocks called Froebel Gifts. I spent hours stacking them, building all sorts of shapes, and imagining what they could be. Those simple blocks taught me about shapes and patterns and sparked my love for creating things.
When I grew up, I moved to the big city of Chicago in 1887 to become a real architect. I wanted to design buildings that didn't look like the tall, fancy buildings from Europe. I had a big idea I called 'organic architecture.' That means I thought buildings should look like they grew right out of the land, just like a plant. I designed homes in a style called the 'Prairie School.' Because the land in the Midwest is so flat, I made the houses long and low to the ground, with big windows to let in lots of sunlight and connect the inside with the outside world.
I got to design some amazing buildings during my life. One of the most famous is a house called Fallingwater, which I designed in 1935. It's built right on top of a waterfall! Can you imagine hearing the rushing water from your living room? I also designed a famous art museum in New York City called the Guggenheim Museum. Instead of being a square box, it's shaped like a giant, white ribbon that spirals toward the sky. It opened in 1959, and inside, you walk down a gentle ramp to see all the beautiful paintings. I wanted people to feel like they were a part of nature, even when they were inside.

I lived to be 91 years old, and I designed over 1,000 buildings in my lifetime. My dream was to create beautiful spaces that made people happy and connected them to the natural world. Today, many of my buildings are still standing, and you can even visit them. I hope that when you see them, you are inspired to look at the world in a new way and see the beauty in how nature and buildings can be friends.
