Just want Frédéric Chopin?
Hello. My name is Frédéric Chopin. A long, long time ago, in the year 1810, I was born in a country called Poland. When I was a little boy, my favorite thing in the whole world was the piano. I loved to press the black and white keys and listen to the beautiful sounds they made. Playing the piano felt like magic to me.
I did not just play songs that other people wrote. I loved to make up my very own songs. If I felt happy, I would write a bouncy song that made you want to dance around the room. If I felt quiet and sleepy, I would write a soft, dreamy song that sounded like a lullaby. All of my feelings turned into music that came right from my heart.
When I grew up, I moved to a big, busy city called Paris. It was so exciting. I played my piano songs for all of my new friends there. They loved to listen to my happy dances and my dreamy lullabies. Sharing my music with everyone made me feel so wonderful, and it made them feel wonderful, too.
I lived to be 39 years old, and my music has lived on for much, much longer. Even today, people all over the world listen to my piano songs when they want to dance, dream, or just feel cozy. My music is my way of sharing my feelings with you, forever.
