Just want Giorgio Vasari?
Hello! My name is Giorgio Vasari. I lived a long, long time ago in a beautiful country called Italy. I was born in a town called Arezzo on July 30th, 1511. Ever since I was a little boy, I loved to draw, paint, and build things. Art was my favorite game!
When I grew up, I became an artist and an architect—that’s someone who designs buildings. I got to work for a very important family called the Medici. They asked me to paint huge, colorful pictures on walls and ceilings. In 1560, I also started designing a giant, beautiful building in a city called Florence. It was so much fun to see my ideas become real!
I had so many amazing artist friends, like the famous Michelangelo! I wanted everyone to remember them, so in 1550, I wrote a special book about their lives and all the wonderful art they made. I lived to be 62 years old, and people still read my book and visit the buildings I designed today. They help us remember all the incredible artists who made the world more beautiful.
