Just want James Chadwick?
Hello! My name is James Chadwick, and I was a scientist. When I was a little boy, I loved to ask questions. I wanted to know how everything worked. I looked at the world and wondered, 'What is everything made of?' This curiosity led me to study science, where I could spend my days looking for answers to my biggest questions.
I learned that everything in the world, from your toys to the biggest trees, is made of super-duper tiny things called atoms. They are so small you can't see them! I thought of myself as a detective, and my job was to find the even tinier pieces hidden inside atoms. In 1932, after a lot of searching, I found a secret particle! It was a special piece of the atom that no one had ever seen before. I called it the neutron.
Finding the neutron was like finding a missing puzzle piece. It helped all the other scientists understand how atoms work. My discovery helped people learn so much more about our world. I lived a long and happy life of discovery and lived to be 82 years old. Today, people remember me for finding that special hidden particle, which helped unlock many more secrets of science.
