Just want Joaquín Sorolla?
Hello! My name is Joaquín Sorolla. I was born a long, long time ago in a very sunny place called Valencia, in Spain. That was on February 27th, 1863. When I was a little boy, I loved to draw and paint more than anything. My favorite place in the whole world was the beach. I loved to watch how the sun made everything sparkle. The water splashed and played on the shore, and I wanted to capture that happy feeling forever.
I loved painting happy pictures of my family. I painted my wonderful wife, Clotilde, and our children. I would paint them playing in the soft sand and having so much fun by the big, blue sea. When I painted, I used lots of bright, shimmery colors. I used white like the bright sun, blue like the sparkling water, and yellow like the warm sand. I did this to make my paintings look like they were filled with real sunshine. I wanted everyone who saw my art to feel happy and warm inside.
I painted for my whole life because it brought me so much joy. I lived to be 60 years old. Even today, you can see my paintings in big buildings called museums. People who look at my art say it is like looking at a sunny day, captured forever in a picture frame. I hope my pictures make you feel the warmth of the sun and the joy of a happy day at the beach.
