Just want Johann Strauss II?
Hello! My name is Johann Strauss II, and I want to tell you my story. I was born in a very musical city called Vienna on October 25th, 1825. My father, Johann Strauss I, was a famous musician, but he didn't want me to be one, too! He thought it was a difficult life and wanted me to be a banker instead. But my heart was filled with music. I loved it so much that I secretly learned to play the violin when he wasn't looking. It was my special secret, and I practiced whenever I could.
When I was 19 years old, in 1844, I decided it was time to follow my dream. I started my very own orchestra! An orchestra is a big group of musicians who play all sorts of instruments together to make beautiful music. At first, it was a little scary because my father was so well-known, and I worried that people wouldn't listen to my songs. But soon, people started to love my music. I wrote happy, twirling songs called waltzes. A waltz is a special kind of dance where partners spin and glide across the floor, and my music made everyone want to get up and dance all night long.
Soon, people gave me a wonderful nickname: 'The Waltz King!' I was so proud. I traveled all over the world with my orchestra, playing for kings and queens in fancy palaces. In 1866, I wrote my most famous piece, 'The Blue Danube.' It is a beautiful song about a lovely river that flows through my hometown of Vienna. My music became so popular that in 1872, I even sailed across the ocean to America. I led huge concerts there, and it was so exciting to share my happy music with so many new people far away from my home.

I wrote music for my entire life, and I created over 500 songs that made people smile and dance. I lived to be 73 years old. Even though I am no longer here, my music dances on. Every year on New Year's Day in Vienna, orchestras play my waltzes to celebrate the start of a new year. People all over the world still twirl and spin to my happy tunes. I am so glad my music continues to bring joy to the world.
