Just want Juana Azurduy?
Hello, my name is Juana Azurduy. I was born a long, long time ago, in the year 1780. I grew up in a beautiful place with big mountains. Today, that place is a country called Bolivia. When I was a little girl, I loved to play outside. My favorite thing to do was ride horses. I loved feeling the wind as my horse and I galloped fast. Even when I was small, I was very strong and very brave.
When I grew up, I saw that some people were not being kind or fair to my friends and neighbors. This made me feel sad, and I knew I had to help. So, I decided to be a leader. I put on a special uniform and got on my wonderful horse. I led my friends to protect our homes and our families. We were all very brave together. We worked hard to make sure everyone could be safe, free, and happy in our home.
Our hard work and bravery helped our home become a free country. I lived to be 81 years old. Today, people remember me as a hero who was strong and courageous. My story helps everyone remember that girls can be very powerful leaders, too. It is always important to be brave and help others.
