Just want King Philip II of France?
Hello! My name is Philip. A very long time ago, I was the king of a beautiful country called France. I lived in a big, tall castle and on my head, I wore a shiny crown. Being a king was a very important job. I had to work hard to make sure all of my people were safe and happy. I wanted everyone in my kingdom to have a good home and feel protected.
My favorite city in all of France was Paris. To keep Paris safe from any harm, I built a huge, strong castle right by the river. It was called the Louvre. The Louvre had tall, thick walls to protect everyone who lived inside. I also worked hard to make my whole kingdom of France bigger and stronger. It was like adding new, wonderful rooms to a giant house so more friends could join us and be safe too. I wanted France to be a great home for everyone.
I was the king for a very, very long time and lived to be 57 years old. People remember me for helping make France a strong and safe country. And what about that big castle I built? Today, the Louvre is a world-famous museum. It is filled with beautiful paintings and amazing treasures for everyone to see. It makes me so happy to know that something I built to keep people safe is now a special place that brings them so much joy.
