Just want Pierre-Auguste Renoir?
Hello! My name is Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and I am a painter. I was born in a beautiful country called France a long time ago, on February 25th, 1841. Ever since I was a little boy, I loved to paint. I started by painting pretty flowers on teacups. I loved using all the colors of the rainbow to make things look bright and happy.
My favorite thing to paint was people having fun! I painted my friends dancing at parties, families enjoying picnics in the sunshine, and children playing games. I wanted my paintings to feel like a happy memory. My friend Claude Monet and I started a new way of painting in the 1870s. It was called Impressionism. We tried to capture the sparkly sunlight in our pictures.
I painted for my whole life. Even when I got older and my hands hurt, I kept painting because it brought me so much joy. I lived to be 78 years old. Today, my paintings are in big museums all around the world, and I hope they still make people smile with all their happy colors and sunshine.
