Just want Ptolemy I Soter?
Hello! My name is Ptolemy. A long, long time ago, I had a very good friend named Alexander. We loved to go on big adventures together and see the world. He was a great leader, and I was one of his best helpers. It was so much fun to explore new places with my friend.
After our adventures were done, I moved to a warm, sunny place called Egypt. It was a beautiful land with big, pointy pyramids and a long, winding river. I became the king there. My job was to take care of all the people and make sure they were happy and safe. I wanted to be a good king and help everyone in my new home.
I loved stories and learning new things more than anything! I thought it was important for everyone to be able to read and learn, too. So, I built a giant, beautiful building just for books. It was filled with thousands and thousands of scrolls, which were like books from long ago. We called it the Great Library of Alexandria. It was a special house for books and ideas where anyone could come to learn.
I lived to be a very old man, and my family helped rule Egypt for a long, long time after me. People remember me today for starting a new chapter for Egypt and for building the wonderful library. My library kept so many stories safe for the world to share, and that makes me very happy.
