Just want Ramesses II?
Hello. My name is Ramesses II. I lived long, long ago in a sunny land called Egypt. I was a pharaoh, which is like being a king. It was my job to be a good leader for my people. When I was a boy, my father, Pharaoh Seti I, taught me everything I needed to know. He showed me how to be strong and kind so that one day I could be a great pharaoh just like him.
I loved to build amazing things that would last forever. I built huge temples and giant statues that looked just like me. It was so much fun to see them reach high into the sky. My most special project was the temples at Abu Simbel. They were so big that they were carved right out of a mountain. I also had a favorite queen named Nefertari. I built a beautiful temple just for her to show how much I loved her.
I was a pharaoh for a very, very long time. In fact, I was a leader for longer than almost any other pharaoh in the history of Egypt. I lived to be about 90 years old. Even though I lived long ago, you can still visit Egypt today and see the giant statues and incredible temples I built. People remember me as 'Ramesses the Great' because of all the wonderful things I left behind for the world to see.
