Just want Raphael?
Hello! My name is Raphael, and I was a painter. I was born a long, long time ago, in the year 1483. When I was a little boy, my daddy was a painter, too! I loved to watch him mix bright colors and create beautiful pictures. I wanted to be just like him when I grew up.
I loved to paint more than anything. My favorite thing to paint was mothers holding their sweet babies. I used soft, pretty colors to make them look gentle and full of love. People called these paintings 'Madonnas', and they made everyone who saw them feel happy and calm.
When I got older, I moved to a big, busy city called Rome. Around the year 1509, a very important person asked me to paint a giant picture on a wall inside a special building. My painting was called 'The School of Athens,' and it was filled with people talking and sharing big ideas. It was so much fun to create!
I painted for my whole life and lived to be 37 years old. Even today, you can see my paintings in big buildings called museums. People say my art makes them feel peaceful. I'm so glad my colorful world can still bring smiles to people's faces.
