Just want Simón Bolívar?
Hello! My name is Simón Bolívar. I was born on July 24th, 1783, in a sunny and beautiful place called Caracas. Caracas is in a country named Venezuela. When I was a little boy, I loved to run and play under the warm sun. I also loved to listen to stories about brave heroes.
When I grew up, I saw that many people in my home of South America were not able to make their own choices. This made me feel sad. I had a very big and important dream. I wanted everyone to be free. I wanted them to be like one big, happy family working together. I wanted them to be in charge of their own homes and their own countries.
To make my dream come true, I had to be very, very brave. I traveled to many places. I rode my horse through tall mountains and green jungles. I talked to lots of people and asked them to help me. Together, we all worked very hard. We helped many countries, like Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia, become free.
I lived to be 47 years old. Because I spent my life helping so many people, they gave me a special name. They called me 'El Libertador,' which means 'The Liberator.' Today, people remember me as someone who dreamed of freedom and worked hard to help his neighbors. My story helps remind everyone to be brave and to always help others.
