The Story of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose
Hello! My name is Subhas Chandra Bose, but many people called me Netaji, which means 'respected leader.' I was born a long, long time ago, on January 23rd, 1897, in a place called Cuttack in India. I loved my country very, very much. It was my big, beautiful home, and I wanted everyone in it to be happy and free.
When I was growing up, people from another country, Great Britain, were in charge of India. I had a big dream that one day, India would make its own rules. I wanted my country to be strong and stand on its own feet. I traveled far and wide, talking to people and asking them to join me in this dream. I told them to be brave and to always love our home, India.
My story eventually came to an end, but my love for India lives on forever. People remember me today as a brave leader who dreamed of a free India. Whenever you hear the words 'Jai Hind,' which means 'Victory to India,' you can think of me and my big dream for my wonderful country.
