Just want Children's and Household Tales?
Have you ever imagined walking through deep, dark woods where wolves might talk to you? Or finding a tiny cottage made of gingerbread and candy, with a roof made of cake? I know all about tall, spooky castles where princesses sleep for a hundred years, waiting for a true love’s kiss to wake them up. My world is filled with brave children who outsmart tricky witches, like Hansel and Gretel, and clever animals who help their friends find their way. These adventures feel like a whisper of magic, don't they? They are the kind of tales told around a warm fire on a cold night, making you shiver and smile at the same time. I hold all these exciting adventures inside me, whispered from one person to another for many, many years until they finally found a home on my pages. I am a collection of stories, a family of tales. You can call me Children's and Household Tales.
My story keepers were two brothers named Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. They lived in a country called Germany a very long time ago, in the early 1800s. The brothers loved stories more than anything. They listened to tales about Cinderella losing her glass slipper and Little Red Riding Hood meeting a big, bad wolf. But they were worried. People were starting to forget these wonderful old folk tales. They feared the stories might disappear forever, like a puff of smoke. So, Jacob and Wilhelm decided to become story keepers. They traveled all over their country, visiting towns and villages. They would sit with grandmothers, farmers, and friends, listening carefully as they shared their favorite tales. The brothers wrote down every single word, gathering the stories like precious jewels so they would be safe. They wanted to make sure that children everywhere could hear them. Finally, on December 20th, 1812, the first part of me was published as a book for the whole world to read. The magic would never be lost.

Once I became a book, something amazing happened. My stories grew wings. Tales like 'Cinderella,' 'Hansel and Gretel,' 'Snow White,' and 'Little Red Riding Hood' could travel all over the world. Children in different countries who spoke different languages could read about the same brave heroes and heroines. For more than 200 years, my pages have inspired people to create wonderful things. You have probably seen cartoons and movies about the characters who live inside me. Artists have painted pictures of them, and writers have created brand new books based on their adventures. My stories show that a good tale is like a bridge that connects people across time and all around the globe. They remind everyone to be brave when they are scared, kind to those in need, and clever when they face a problem. My pages hold a special kind of magic that keeps sparking imaginations, proving that wonder can be found anywhere, even in the oldest of tales.
