Just want The Adventures of Pinocchio?
Before I had a cover or pages, I was a spark of an idea in a writer's mind. I smelled of fresh paper and inky words waiting to be written. I am a story about a little wooden puppet who had a very big dream: to become a real boy. My pages are filled with his exciting, and sometimes silly, adventures. My name is The Adventures of Pinocchio. I was imagined to teach children a lesson in a fun way, to show them that being good and honest is the best way to live. The idea was to create a character who makes mistakes but learns from them, just like a real child.
My First Words in Italy
A writer named Carlo Collodi brought me to life in the beautiful country of Italy. He was a very clever man who wanted to create a story that was both entertaining and full of lessons. He didn't write my story all at once. Starting on July 7th, 1881, he published my adventures one chapter at a time in a children's magazine. Each week, children would wait to read about my hero, Pinocchio, a puppet carved by a kind woodworker named Geppetto. Pinocchio could walk and talk, but he wasn't very good at telling the truth. Every time he told a lie, his nose would grow longer and longer. It was a funny way to show that lies can get you into trouble. With the help of a wise Talking Cricket and a kind Fairy with Turquoise Hair, he learns important lessons about being brave, truthful, and unselfish. Finally, in 1883, all my chapters were collected into one book with a bright cover, so everyone could read my entire story from beginning to end.

A Journey Across the World
At first, only children in Italy who spoke Italian could read my story. But my adventures were too exciting to stay in one place. Soon, my pages traveled on big boats and fast trains to countries all over the world. I was translated into hundreds of different languages, from English to Spanish to Japanese, so that children everywhere could follow Pinocchio's journey from a wooden puppet to a real boy. People loved my story because it was funny and full of surprises, but it also taught them about the importance of honesty and love. It showed that it is okay to make mistakes as long as you learn from them. Then, in 1940, my story was turned into a famous animated movie, with beautiful songs and amazing colors. This movie made my little wooden hero a star that everyone in the world could recognize and love.
A Wish in Your Heart
For more than one hundred years, I have lived on bookshelves in homes, schools, and libraries, waiting for new friends to open my cover and join Pinocchio on his quest. My story is a special reminder that being 'real' isn't about what you are made of or what you look like on the outside. It's about the kindness and love you have in your heart. I hope I can inspire you to be brave, to listen to that little voice inside you that knows right from wrong, and to always believe that good wishes can come true if you are true to yourself.
