Just want Christmas?
Hello! I am Christmas. I am a holiday that is special to many people. For Christians, I am the day they celebrate the birth of Jesus. It is a very important story for them. Many other people celebrate me, too. For them, I am a happy time for joy, peace, and spending time with family and friends. It is a time for being with the people you love.
When I arrive, homes often look very festive and bright. Many people bring a green tree inside their house. This is called a Christmas tree. They hang colorful lights that twinkle and shine like little stars. They also put pretty, shiny balls called ornaments on the branches. Some families hang up special socks called stockings. You might also see a lovely green circle, called a wreath, hanging on the front door to welcome everyone who visits.
One of my most loved traditions is giving gifts. It is a way for people to show they care about each other. Families and friends wrap up surprises in colorful paper and give them to one another. Children might hear stories about a kind gift-bringer. In some places, this special visitor is called Santa Claus. The story says he brings presents to good children. Celebrating me is about sharing kindness and making happy memories together.
